Galaxy Ventures

The situation:

We built a platform the team can run without us.

The site runs on Contentful and Vercel, with HubSpot CRM and Google services integrated at launch rather than bolted on afterward. Content managers publish and update without a developer in the loop, which is the difference between a site that stays current and one that quietly goes stale.

As a headless CMS agency, this is the pattern we build toward on every engagement: the platform should not be the reason a team cannot move.

We built the creative to actually run.

Galaxy Ventures needed to feel like an investor that understands the technology it funds. Working with Gravy Boat Regatta on the creative direction, we built the interaction design the brand called for, including the animated hero and the octopus on the home page.

Animation like that is easy to design and harder to ship without the site getting slow or breaking on mobile. Getting it to run cleanly is the part that takes engineering, not just design.

We cleared the compliance bar before launch.

Crypto investment is a regulated category. The site had to meet the technical and legal requirements before it could go live, and that work happens during the build, not as a review at the end.

We built for what came next.

The architecture was modular from the start, so new sections and properties could be added without a rebuild. That decision looked like over-engineering at launch. It is the reason the relationship went where it did.

How we helped.

We built a platform the team can run without us.

The site runs on Contentful and Vercel, with HubSpot and analytics integrated at launch rather than bolted on afterward. Content managers publish and update without a developer in the loop, which is the difference between a site that stays current and one that quietly goes stale.

As a headless CMS agency, this is the pattern we build toward on every engagement: the platform should not be the reason a team cannot move.

We designed for motion, not just layout.

Galaxy Ventures needed to feel like an investor that understands the technology it funds. The build is motion-led, with the interaction design carrying as much of the brand as the typography does. That is harder to execute than a static layout and it is the reason the site reads as considered rather than templated.

We built for what came next.

The architecture was modular from the start, so new sections and properties could be added without a rebuild. That decision looked like over-engineering at launch. It is the reason the relationship went where it did.

Results achieved.

Delivered before year-end.

The date was the constraint and the date held. In a regulated category, on a new platform, with integrations live at launch.

One of six, across four years.

Galaxy Ventures was one build inside a much longer relationship. Thorium Digital has delivered six websites across the group, alongside continuous work on the main Galaxy site.

The first was Galaxy Fund Management, the brand and site for their Bitcoin and crypto passive funds, with an identity rooted in sacred geometry and modernist illustration. Years later that site was consolidated back into the main site. When the business restructured again, Galaxy Asset Management launched as its own property.

That sequence is the real story. Digital estates do not sit still. Sites launch, get consolidated, and relaunch as the business changes shape, and someone has to keep the whole thing shipping while it happens. Thorium has been that constant for four years.

Three event sites, three fixed dates.

Solstice, Gravity, and Constellations are event properties, which means the deadline is the event. There is no version of shipping late. Constellations continues as an ongoing site rather than a one-off, so it has to hold up between events as well as during them.

Less developer dependency.

The team publishes on its own. Campaign and content changes ship without waiting on an engineering queue, which is usually where digital work actually slows down.

Governance that scales across properties.

Six sites across ventures, corporate, and asset management means six sets of standards, compliance requirements, and content workflows. Building them on shared infrastructure means the governance holds as the estate grows instead of fragmenting.
